Tuesday, June 9, 2009 —DENVER, COLORADO— American Professional Services (APS-Hoods) recently announced that the number of Aurora hood cleaning accounts has surpassed the number of accounts it has in Denver.

Now the goal is to achieve the same thing in Colorado Springs and Fort Collins, said Massoud Farazandeh chief executive officer of APS-Hoods.

Headquarters for APS-Hoods is located in Denver and the company traditionally has had more accounts there than anywhere else in the state, but Aurora hood sales and hood cleaning accounts have spiked due to recent growth in that area, Farazandeh said.

It features a four-block main street, a community plaza and 1.7 million square feet of retail space for retailers and restaurants, including Chili’s, The Wine Experience, Heidi’s Brooklyn Deli, Fish City Grill, Jim ‘N Nick’s BBQ, P.F. Chang’s, McCabe’s Irish Bistro & Pub, Ted’s Montana Grill, Village Inn, Olive Garden and Red Lobster, to name a few.

APS-Hoods has provided hood sales and hood cleaning services to many of these restaurants.

“Denver can’t grow anymore,” Farazandeh said. “Aurora, on the other hand, is open to the east and continues to grow. And with Southlands being the biggest mall in Colorado, we picked up a lot of accounts from the restaurants there when they opened.”

The bulk of the work requests are for hood cleaning and fire suppression services, he said, adding that many of APS-Hoods’ major hood installation projects within the past year have been in Aurora.

Aurora’s proximity to Denver works in favor of restaurant owners and managers seeking the services provided by APS-Hoods at the most competitive price. APS-Hoods announced in May that its sales and cleaning services for businesses located within 100 miles of Denver were exempt from being charged a travel fee, Farazandeh said.

“Aurora is so close to Denver, you can’t tell they are different cities,” he said. “Aurora is still a fast-growing city, so we see more work coming down the line in the future.”
